About Larksome Goods

Larksome Goods began the way most good things do, with a drawing made at a kitchen table on an ordinary morning.
That drawing was Pink Cosmos. Jennifer Larkey Balink made it, scanned it, turned it into notecards, and sold all of them almost immediately. Friends started asking: Could you do a peony? A dogwood? What about something for my daughter who spent a semester in Durban? Something from this photo of my friend's lake house?
That's still how it works.
Jennifer is a native Memphian, an artist, a writer, and a chronic believer that a handwritten note is never wasted. Every design in the Larksome Goods catalog began as an original work, painted, drawn by hand, or created as a unique piece of digital art, all in her Memphis studio. Every order is packaged by hand, often with help from the family.
The name comes from a collision of two maiden names and one husband with good instincts. Larksome means playful and carefree. It fits. Browse the store, and see for yourself.
